Scotland’s leading freight and logistics company is celebrating its millionth delivery of the year, harnessing the potential of its recent growth strategies.
Streamline Shipping Group has dropped off the historic shipment to long-time customer Birsay Farmers in Orkney – marking the first time the company has achieved this milestone in a calendar year.
The impressive delivery follows the opening of the company’s new cargo terminal in Aberdeen at the end of 2021, significantly increasing its workforce and capacity in the process.
Vanessa Robertson, Orkney Managing Director of Streamline Shipping Group, said:
“We launched our first freight service to Orkney in 1987, so celebrating this historic one millionth delivery with one of our oldest customers on the island is fantastic.
Across all of our depots and departments, we are committed to providing an integrated freight and logistics service that stands out from the competition. Whether it’s facilitating customs declarations for overseas exports or delivering parcels by hand to remote communities in Orkney and Shetland, we are passionate about ensuring our customers’ cargo arrives where it must be, on time and in perfect condition.
Achieving this major delivery milestone is a huge testament to the hard work of our teams across the country and around the world – and we are extremely excited to see what the future holds.
Earlier this year, the delivery company also became the first to introduce electric vehicles into its delivery fleet in Orkney, providing emissions-free last mile deliveries to the local community.
