Iran’s Qazvin province records 49% increase in shipments…

(MENAFN) The value of shipments from Qazvin district jumped 49% in the first six months of the current Iranian calendar year (March 21-September 22), compared to the same period a year earlier, said a provincial official.

Reza Nikravesh, the director general of the province’s customs department, mentioned that 483,000 tons of goods worth $346 million were shipped from Qazvin in the first six months of the current year, marking also a 28% increase in mass.

It tagged ribbed rebar, petroleum oils, copper wire, washing and cleaning materials as well as steel plate as the main products shipped in the time frame indicated.

Mentioning that the province of Qazvin ships products to 59 countries, Nikravesh pointed out, “Iraq, Turkey, Afghanistan, Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates are the top five export destinations for the products of the province of Qazvin. Qazvin this year, among which Iraq is considered the province’s largest export destination of goods, since 33% of the products were exported to this country.
