Iran: Shipments from Mazandaran district increase by 2% in…

(MENAFN) The value of shipments from Mazandaran Province in northern Iran has seen a two percent increase in the first seven months of the current Iranian calendar year (March 21-October 22), per compared to the same period last year, an official with the province’s customs department said.

Asgar Niknafs claimed that 636,740 tonnes of goods worth $161.26 million were shipped from the province during the seven-month period, indicating a 24% increase in terms of mass on an annual basis .

He specified that the following products which are: dairy products, plastic materials, cement, food products, metals as well as their artefacts, products derived from mineral materials, wood and ligneous materials, paper, textile materials in addition to artifacts made from these materials, in addition to the production of the chemical industry as the main items shipped, while he named Iraq, Russia, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan and the United Arab Emirates ( UAE) as the main destinations for shipments.
