Even though Samsung currently seems to be enjoying the success of the Galaxy S22 series and gearing up for the upcoming Galaxy A series, it looks like the company is also working on something else. We all know that the South Korean giant is expected to reveal the next line of foldable devices later this year, namely the Galaxy Z Flip 4 and the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and now we have a tip that suggests Samsung may be starting the billboard shipping next month.
Samsung plans to ship 8.7 million panels for the Galaxy Z Flip 4, with deliveries starting next month
For those wondering, the tip comes from Ross Young and we all know how reliable he has been in the past with his tricks and leaks. Young said Samsung is expected to begin panel shipments for the Galaxy Z Flip 4 next month. You can see the tweet below.
Samsung Display is expected to begin panel shipments for the Z Flip 4 next month, at the same time as the Z Flip 3 last year. But panel shipments are expected to be much larger. We expect 8.7 million panels in 2022 for the Z Flip 4 compared to 5.1 million for the Z Flip 3 in 2021.

However, what is more interesting here is that the expected panel shipments are much larger than last time with 8.7 million panel shipments expected instead of the 5.1 million that was for the Galaxy Z. Flip 3. This only means that Samsung is looking to sell a lot of Galaxy Z Flip 4 phones when they finally become available.
We’re still months away from officially announcing the Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Fold 4 devices to go official, but you may start to see more and more leaks as we move forward. Let’s keep track and see what Samsung has in store for us.
